During the 1980s, Composer Felix visits Valldemossa, Mallorca, where Frédéric Chopin stayed in the winter of 1838. Chopin’s unsettled spirit appears to Felix in ‘visitation dreams’. Both lost souls, they form a bond, exploring themes of belonging, sexuality and creativity. Chopin leaves Felix a gift, a mysterious manuscript, The Ghost Prelude. A case of a ghostly ‘fake or fortune’ ensues.

It is 1984. Brokenhearted London composer Felix Bead rents a cottage from Rosa, artist friend of his mother, in Valldemossa Mallorca, where Chopin spent the winter of 1838.
The troubled spirit of Chopin appears to Felix in ‘visitation dreams’. Becoming friends, they transcend the present and afterlife.
Chopin gifts Felix a mysterious manuscript, The Ghost Prelude, with a note that fades away shortly after Felix reads it.
Sarah studied Singing and Piano at Trinity College, London. After performing professionally and running her own music company affiliated with the Yehudi Menuhin School Surrey, she now lives permanently in Mallorca.
In her rôle as President of the Mallorca Arts Society she has given guided tours and lectures on the life of Chopin. She has also run popular ‘Beautiful Words’ literary events for Palma Writers at the Museu Joan March. A fluent Spanish speaker, she has appeared live on Spanish TV and regularly writes for the Mallorca Daily Bulletin newspaper. The Ghost Prelude is her first attempt at a novel.
