Velanova – Age of Stone

Long ago, in Velanova’s golden age, Evanna Fore-sees the Times of Trouble. An inevitable cataclysm will destroy her world. Intuitive Velan Mind Skills and their wondrous Triple Spiral source will be lost. Her son’s destiny is to save his people and their wisdom, empowered by a potent Sky Stone that fell at his birth.

But Jor-lath is far from ready. His emerging, rational Straight-thinking is misunderstood and rejected by all. His love for the beautiful Seer, Anisha, falters before her intuitive Mind Skills. And Jor-lath’s Sky Stone is just one of four. Their alien energies arouse violence and greed in Jor-lath’s overbearing brother, Karel, and the evil Graben, Roch-aver. With the Triple Spiral in imminent peril, the first sky fires arrive.

To succeed, Jor-lath must hone his Mind Skills on the initiatory Square Passage. But can he develop the inner strength to thwart Roch-aver and Karel’s malevolent plans? Can he find the love he craves? Will he be ready to fulfil his destiny?

Age of Stone is the first volume of a planned three-part series following many of the characters here and other new players, with different Mind Skills, through the calamitous Times of Trouble and into an utterly changed world.
